This hunting lease is leased and not available. Base Camp Leasing has a 215 acre hunting lease available for immediate lease in Steuben County, New York. This hunting lease is close to Corning, New York and is located in WMU (8T). This property should provide excellent bear, deer and turkey hunting. The landowner reported seeing deer and turkey on most days and the occasional black bear. The property is almost split in the middle by a hard top road. There are 45 acres of mature woods, overgrown apple trees and brush on north side of the road. There are 55 acres of woods to the south. This hunting lease comes with a recently completed cabin that can sleep up to 5 hunters. You can drive a truck to the front door of the cabin without scratching it! The cabin comes with the following: woodstove, gas cooking stove, firewood, propane, natures head toilet (inside lodge), sink, gas and electric lights (run by battery and provided generator) and outdoors fire pit (see pics). It has a half loft which can fit 2 or 3 cots and there is a futon down stairs. No shower, but water can be hauled in easily. I saw over 50 deer beds along the edge of the woods. There are some super-sized old rubs in the North part of the woods (identified in blue circle on map). We found overturned rocks and logs that a bear had recently flipped. There are many trails throughout the property which the landowner will allow to keep cleared. The property has scattered apple trees , hickory and oak trees (fresh nuts were everywhere on the ground in the woods). Posting of the property will be allowed. The hayfields will be mowed yearly. Food plots would also be allowed. ATV and camping use is permitted for hunting purposes only. The cabin comes with this lease and is a bargain when you add up hotel fees for 4 or 5 hunters! This property will provide a great outdoor experience and is located in one of the best deer counties in New York!
